Restoring a watershed

In unison while the

Powerful sun is

Against our backs

Repairing

In the beautiful

And wonderful Brazil Ranch is

No difficult task

Restoring a watershed together as one

Instructors assisting the students while they work

Pruning the land to its rightful shape

All as one, together, a group, a team,

Repairing Mother Earth

Intelligently finding a solution to the problem

All together we work to rescue the planet

Never finished, never alone

Rivers flowing rapidly

Instructors busily working with care

People trying, and doing the best they can

Animals watching, behind bushes and trees

Restoring and planting, working as one

In the middle of a creek bed

And everyone’s happy

Nobody’s left out

Restoring a watershed together

Instructors informing us about restoration Peacefully working together as one

As we help the earth

Repairing the creek beds

Individuals working in a team

Animals are glad when we are done

Never done but made a difference

Restoring a creek is what we did

Ingenious really,

Planting willows

Always helpful

Rightfully placed

In life where it is needed

And I hope that

Never shall we be without

Repairing watersheds from erosion

In places all over

People, students and teachers helping

And also they’re saving the fish

Repairing watersheds makes more kids

In tune and learn about it

And I hope they

Never stop repairing

Repair a Riparian Habitat

It’s washing away! Help, don’t let it wash away

Please plant some willows and some clumps of grass

Animals like to play near me

Really, this means a lot to us streams and rivers

It will help you and it will help me

All kinds of animals will live because of you

Never kill a tree if you love me

Rivers are washing me away

It rains too hard on my leaves

People pick my leaves

A caterpillar’s family destroys me

Rapid waters drown my roots

I hate the winter, too cold

A moose rubs his antlers and ruins my bark

Reptiles slithering

In the moist soil

Perhaps just perhaps

A mouse will run past

Right then

I will snatch it

A dinner for the reptile

Now he can rest in it’s own

Restoring an unknown village

Insects buzz around

Plants come to life

Animals play

Rain brings water

Invisible spirits everywhere

Air is soft and moist

Now everything is peaceful

Rivers and streams like myself wanting, trying to get

In to the flowing mass of blue.

People always trying to stop what we work so hard for.

Animals dying because of the people.

Repair is what we need. Some people, try to help but that is not enough; the people need to stop.

I am the voice of the earth that can not be heard.

And

iN the end, all the earth is, is a

a fat drop of

Rain plops onto my warm back as I hide from the cold. Human children

Invade my home; they are my cousins and family, but not me. I am brave.

The

People are loud but they do not threaten me with machines that they killed my brother with.

Instead they

Are laughing, playing like when I was a fawn frolicking in the same fields I once did

        They push poles into the

gRound and fill the holes with sticks that have green sprouts. We like to eat them. They also planted sweet grass.
        Their

Instructor says they will grow and make the water clean again.

After they leave, my family comes back,

Now I tell them not to eat the sticks or grass so it grows and somehow makes the water clean.

  Home is clean now.

The wAter is

  Beautiful

It’s ok to eat the grass now

That it grows better and fast

  Anyway,

The cows don’t eat our grass. We live better the water is  clear and we are happy.

Repairing my home?

I’m touched that you, a human, would help a lower life form.

Perhaps I could do something in return?

How About I give a quick thanks for now?

Radiant fish like me would have dried out if you hadn’t come

Now I will be able to have my own baby fish,

And watch them grow. I could

Never have been so happy, Thank you for the restored…

River that gets shade

Ivy gets killed

Pair of trees are planted

Across the river there are trees

Rivers are cleaner than ever

If we can we can save lives

Animals are happy cause they got a home

Nearby are birds looking at a new river

In between the water and the lush, green land

Prepared for erosion and the end

And then,

Repaired by students and teachers alike

I was supported by willow stakes, driven into my banks

And I silently thanked the people who helped me, and I will

Rain is my food.

It is cold and silky.

People tread on my banks

And send soil into my once clear water.

Really want them to stop, but

I cannot speak to them

And soon people help me, and plant trees.

Now my water runs clear again.

They Restored my home.

I am a fresh water shrimp

People don’t know I’m here, but I am.

Will you plant A lot of willows trees for shade, so I don’t cook?

Restore the watershed today!

I know you can, you will feel proud,

And you will be happy because you restored

Rain falls on my habitat

It looks like a giant sphere

Perhaps it was god’s will

And nature’s way

Ruining it is just as easy as restoring it

Impressed as I am I see

All new kids restoring this place

Never take it away this beautiful place

Rocks along the ocean soar, big, small, medium, sandy.

In the dirt, building plants and things.

Plants have many interesting things about them

Ants and others bugs

Rain falling on dirt making erosion

It’s a good thing feeling being outside

And animals are good to help

Not helping outdoors is bad

As Rain falls on me I only flourish

Although If I freeze I will die

Perhaps it’s because all of the life in me will die too

As tides change I do as well

I’m wheRe land and ocean meet

I am made of salt water

All fish love to swim in me

Because I am their Natural habitat

Rocks along the ocean front

In the ocean and on the brown sand

Put your feet in the wet

And sandy ocean, now

Reach down, what do you see

In the water?

A fresh water shrimp!

Now to add the word, “Watershed”

Riptides do not cross my pond

Its surface is smooth unless there’s strong wind or rain

Play, swim, eat, and breathe, that’s what we do in my little pond

Adults and children protect this place

Rain cannot hurt me, humans call me tadpole, but I call myself, Little Frog

I and my friends give thanks to all, who help protect this watershed and home

And don’t forget how beautiful its waters were after you worked

Now that I am growing up I poke my head up, and walk on land, to say goodbye and hello to land. Even though I am grown up I am still called Little Frog

Rivers are very good habitats

If you look closely you can see us swimming

Paddling down the river we get swept away.

Animals such as us look for shelter for our babies, maybe under a tree?

Run, run, a big force of water will take me away from my home

If you are careful you will see our young come into this world

Animals like us would love it if you help us with making habitats for us to live in.

Never regret helping out with a habitat if it helps other living things such as us fish and other animals.

Repairing our land

I give thanks

People and animals should come and fix our land

A piece of the lad will affect the world

Reinventing our land

I part the land will

And

Need to give thanks
