Ms. Hanley and Ms. Hood's K-1 class

Our Restoration Day Watershed Poetry
Our class arrives at Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross. Lots of moms came with us!

We are eating a snack in the gazebo before our restoration. We need energy for hard work.

We are learning from our STRAW teachers before we begin our project.

Our class learns about the new plants which will be replacing the invasive plants.

Alex and Ulises ripping out invasive plants and having fun too!

Working together to create a healthier watershed. We learn about plants and habitats.

Our mom’s are here to help and learn with their children. We love to learn together!

This is a lot of work. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication. We love STRAW!

Incredible teamwork! Kindergarteners and first graders make a difference!

Mom and son working side by side to remove non-native plants!

Heavy work requires heavy machinery. The students were impressed.

Learning doesn’t get more meaningful than this.  Outdoor classrooms rock!
