Our Restoration Day Watershed Poetry

Nature Haikus

By the headwaters

A big eagle flies faster

To catch a small fish

Welinton and Jordan

Next to the water

A butterfly flaps her wings

In the hot sunshine

Shirley, Estefany, and Vanessa

A lonely river

a small jumping fish swimming

on Thursday morning

Yeily and Mychelle

At the waterfall

A rabbit sips cool water

One quiet morning

Kayla, Lydia and Felix

In a Muir Woods stream

a snowy egret spies

Fish swimming downstream

Dorrell and Evin

In the deep blue sea

A dophin and shark have tea

On a dark, dark night

Arely, Alex and Veronica

Wetland Acrostic Poem

Water helps people, animals and plants

Earth is a habitat for all living creatures

Tall trees clean the air

Land is special

Animals need us and we need them

Nature is beautiful.

Dirt made our lunch

Someone needs to take care of wetlands
